What to Expect
Coaching
Where will it take place?
Your coaching will be provided either remotely or in person. Your coach will contact you before your session to make arrangements and answer any questions you may have. If your coaching is being delivered remotely, your trainer will email a link for you to click on at the start of the session, and be on hand to help with this and to set up the video call – and no, you don’t have to have your video on at any point if you don’t want to! Alternatively, you may prefer the coaching be delivered over the telephone – this is fine too.
If your training is being delivered face-to-face, it’s often best if you could book a quiet space for you and your coach to work. If this isn’t possible, working at your desk is also fine
What will the session look like?
Initially your coach will take time to explain the coaching process and tell you a little about themselves.
Your coach will then talk with you about your role, your strengths and challenges, and help you to identify areas of your role that you would like to work on.
Using a combination of coaching disciplines and a practical understanding of neuro-diversity, your coach will help you to develop a range of tools, ways of working, techniques and strategies to help you in your role.
Coaching is very much about you and your coaching working together to develop strategies that help you – it isn’t your coach telling you how you should be working – we promise!
Does the coaching follow a formatted course?
Our coaching model does not follow a prescribed course. We believe that every body is different; your strengths and challenges will be very different to another person’s, even in the same role. For this reason, all of our coaching is bespoke, and designed around each individual.
How long are the sessions?
Coaching sessions are usually up to 2 hours long but your coach will be guided by you and how you’re feeling.
What happens in between sessions?
At the end of each session, there may be tasks or actions for you to work on for the next session, but your coach will always discuss the practicality of this with you – we know how busy you are!
A little bit of advice
Finally, we simply ask that you be open to new ideas and ways of working, and approach your sessions with an honest and open mind.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch by phone, email or through our website.
