AT Training
iansyst’s trainers and staff have received commendations on their friendly, professional and learner-centred approach to training. We are often referred by education professionals because of our consistently good performance and understanding of the disabled user. Most of our trainers have adult training certification and they continuously develop their skills in the software and hardware that we sell. We have specialist knowledge of different learning styles and we focus on giving the trainee confidence if they are feeling nervous or overwhelmed by the new equipment.
One-to-One Assistive Technology Training
Set in a familiar and stable environment, one-to-one training allows you to be trained on your own computer at your pace. The training sessions are structured, but flexible enough to give you as much hands-on experience as possible, with your needs being discussed beforehand to make sure your requirements are met.
Our aim is to help people get the most out of the software that has been purchased; exploring its core functionality in an accessible, unpressured way. Over a series of training sessions, our trainers aim to build a rapport with you, to be able to communicate information in a way that makes sense.
Group Assistive Technology Training
iansyst offer tailored training courses to match the requirements of your organisation, institution or school. These sessions are lead by highly qualified trainers and consultants, who understand the needs of people with disabilities and have a wide range of knowledge of the products we can supply.
Examples of training can include workshops to provide hands-on experience of the programs available, allowing you to catch-up with the latest developments, especially useful if you are the enabler for someone with specific learning difficulties; ideal for teachers and other educational professionals.
We hold Professional Development programs that will suit Needs Assessors who have to be able to match the right technology to suit an individual’s needs when supplying a Needs Assessment Report.
Managers and HR Professionals can benefit from disability awareness training enabling employers to create a more pro-active working environment by understanding the needs of their employees.
On a scheduled training course, invariably there will be delegates of varying ability, which can have an impact on the pace of the course. Having more than one trainer in a room for group sessions allows us to monitor progress and focus more on one particular delegate if there is a difference in the speed of learning (multiple trainers usually lead courses of five or more delegates).
Accommodating different learning speeds and styles ensures that the course runs at the pace as dictated by your group thereby providing a more effective training experience for all.
Further information about our trainers can be found on our article called Training.
