Our main aim is to create a website that is both accessible and usuable to the end user. we try and work to the principles and best practices of the WCAG guidelines. Although we recognise that technology has moved on since their creation. The site has been built to comply with (X)HTML and CSS2.

At the top of every page is a hidden link that will appear when ‘tabbed to’ using a keyboard and is spoken by screen-reading software. it is the first link and when selected, will make reading skip past the rest of the menu items and commence at the beginning of the main page content

Browsealoud is a free tool that speech enables website content. It offers a practical website access service to people with reading difficulties and those who find it easier to listen to, rather than read the content of our website. you can download the free text to speech software from the BrowseAloud site
