Business Disability Forum Conference 2016: Recruiting and Retaining Disabled Talent

iansyst are looking forward to exhibiting at the upcoming Business Disability Forum Conference 2016: Recruiting and Retaining Disabled Talent which is being held on 20th April at Royal College of Nursing, London. 

Justin Tomlinson MP, the Minister for Disabled People will be opening theconference alongside Claire Harvey, British Paralympian and Senior Inclusive Leadership Consultant at BDF Partner KPMG who will be delivering the keynote speech. Delegates will also hear from employers from BDF's Membership, high profile employees with disabilities and long-term health conditions and BDF specialists sharing what works in retaining and recruiting employees with disabilities and long term health conditions.

In addition, they will be launching a new Retention Toolkit and Retention Maturity Model that aims to equip employers with the knowledge about how to plan, step by step, for addressing barriers to the success of our colleagues with disabilities and long term health conditions and moving towards best practice. 

The conference will also look at the areas of performance and attendance management, with presentations, workshops and panel discussions from their membership on:

  • How to remove bias around the management of disabled employees in the workplace.
  • How to manage attendance/ sickness absence.
  • Workplace adjustments, what is reasonable?
  • The skills and disability confidence of line managers

Delegates will also have the opportunity to hear from organisations who have implemented successful approaches as well as first hand experiences from disabled employees.
